 Public Private Partnership

The government's mission is to widen the breadth of caring for the population's welfare in almost every aspect in the social environment of the twentieth and twenty-first century (Yanpaisan et al.,2021, p.2).

The government has expanded public spending to help the economy, which is lagging (Yanpaisan et al.,2021, p.2). However, as the contemporary state expands its responsibilities for providing public services, the government must share the burden of developing infrastructure and offering public services (Yanpaisan et al.,2021, p.2).

For this the government will have to make a large financial commitment (Yanpaisan et al.,2021).

If the government wants to invest unilaterally, it will need to set aside a sizable portion of its budget to invest in this kind of enterprise, which will increase tax revenue or public debt obligations in order to fund the state budget (Yanpaisan et al.,2021).

By enhancing the private sector's involvement in government activities or through collaboration in the form of public-private partnerships, these issues can be resolved instead of by diversifying large-scale infrastructure projects and offering public services to the public sector's vast majority (Yanpaisan et al.,2021, p.2).

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are a type of cooperation between a public agency or the government and a private enterprise. Private corporations offer to fund, construct, or run a project for the government, such as (Transportation networks, major infrastructure projects). Such cooperation will make such massive projects feasible and offers numerous additional benefits, such as completing the project more quickly and adding more value to it or accelerating national development (Almasri et al. 2020).

Public Private Partnership in transportation

For instance, India, a developing nation, has PPP for city bus service, which enables the public sector's planning and management of bus services to be combined with the private sector's ability to acquire financing and introduce cost effectiveness in bus maintenance and operations (News article 2022).

According to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, by 2025, 80% of the more than 10,000 buses in use in Delhi will be electric, making it the metropolis in the country with the highest percentage of e-buses (News article 2022).

Implementation of PPP in rural areas

The metropolis, one of India's smartest cities, is used as an example, although this concept can also be used to rural places.

The first benefit is that the government won't need to pay 100% of the cost because it will just invest 50% when working in conjunction with private enterprises to introduce electric buses in rural areas.

Electric buses will be introduced, providing low-income residents of rural areas with a source of income. Additionally, they will link them up with the major cities where they will find additional employment prospects. As a result, when people have more money to spend, the government benefits directly or indirectly from this increase in spending.

This will assist the government in recouping its 50% business investment cost.

It is required to travel to a metro area for many reasons, including employment factor, transportation is a major issue for people living in rural locations with especially who have low earnings.

According to the earlier theory of infrastructure development in rural areas, linking rural areas with large cities will help reduce travel.

Additionally, it will lead to the creation of jobs, and because of public and private relationship, it will be financially advantageous for the government to offer the best services to the people.

Due to their environmental friendliness, sustainability, and ability to aid in reducing carbon footprints, electric buses are the primary emphasis of this article as a means of transportation.

Being a sustainable alternative, adopting an electric bus will be a long-term investment that will generate revenue for the government as well.

Future Prospects

1.Although it may take some time, the government will eventually be able to generate income, because of public private relationship and a use of electric buses , everything will work out well for everyone.

2. With petrol prices on the rise, pollution, and the issue of carbon footprints, the electric bus offers a sustainable solution.

3. The government can continue to manage the pricing for transportation costs, even in public-private partnerships.
